About Me

Hi, my name is Gary...

(Hiiiii Garyyyy)

Ummm Hi...

Umm OK... like I said, my name is Gary and I'm addicted to sneakers... Actually it probably doesn't end there. I'm pretty bad about my clothing too. So maybe I'm addicted to shoes and clothes. It's pretty much where all my hard earned money goes too. Even when I try to save a little cash someone drops a new sneaker or I need to grab a new shirt to wear with the shoes I got yesterday. It never ends... Actually I HOPE it never ends.

From what I've been told I've always been this way. Even as a little kid I had to have new shoes and clothes on the regular. The only difference now is I'm somewhat grown and have a job to pay for them myself. Doesn't exactly sound like a good deal now that I think about it.

I'm no Jordan collector, no SB collector, hell I hardly consider myself a collector at all really. I buy what I like and I buy sneakers to wear them. I'm not a "1 to stock and 1 to rock" kinda guy either. However, if some were to ask what type of sneaker I did collect I would say classics and runner/trainers. I'm a big fan of Vans, Clarks, Nike, Asics, Reebok, Saucony.

Some of my absolute favorite silhouettes are Nike's Air Max 1's and 90's and Vans' Authentics. I've recently, within the last two years, began to dig the Asics GT II's, Gel Lyte II's and  III's. I think this interest started with the Runovation pack that came out a few years ago. I was really upset I never got my hands on a couple of those.

I started this blog a few years back under a different name just to express my excitement and love for the shoes, the clothes and the culture. It's interesting how many different people these things bring together. Whether it's a sneaker event or a discussion forum, I think it's great!

I live here in sunny South Florida (it's raining right now) a little north of MIA. I'm back and forth between here and Miami all the time. When the money's right I'm hittin' as many sneaker stores as I can along the way. Because of this I do feel like there is one thing I would like to establish through this blog. I would really like to create an extensive and complete list of South Florida sneaker shops. I don't mean all the Nike outlets and Finishlines but more so the Shoe Galleries and ATC's. I know it's not going to super easy but it shouldn't be too hard either. If you have anything to contribute to the list please drop me an e-mail.
